The Crazy Holidays!

Hello,

It is/has been a fantastic portrait season! I just wanted to say hello and Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas to everyone! I have been wanting to put up some new picks but haven't found the time. I will be posting new pics before the New Year. The week after Christmas, the studio is open for anyone who would like to come in. I do have bookings already for that week so email me if you would like to know more.

Ad for the paper

Here is this weeks ad for the paper. There are still a few openings for sittings!!! I have had a few Christmas movies playing on my laptop as I have been retouching and printing. I realized where my favourite family pose came from!!! Every year I watch "It's a Wonderful Life" (2 or 3 times actually). The scene at the end, where George Bailey hugs his Kids at the top of the stairs... that is what I am trying to get for my Clients.

Janice & Rick Part 1

Janice and Rick tied the knot this Summer up at Blue Mountain Resort. They were allot of fun to work with... they didn't stop smiling all day! We went to a few different locations all around Collingwood. It was a small intimate Wedding with Family and their closest friend... beautiful.

Sittings for Christmas

The Kelly Family

2 cute kids... we shot about 300 frames with this sitting. There was a little bit of shyness at the beginning but as we had fun, that all melted away. All weekend I have been using the Santa hats for some cute shots. The one in this post was the cutest this weekend by far.

When I shoot a sitting, I shoot it all in colour. Then there are lots of options like B&W and sepia that I can print. Thought I would show you in this post.

The Highland Family

This was the second time the Highlands have come in to sit for a portrait. It always amazes me at how fast kids grow up. We had a great time. When you have 2 boys in the studio it means lots of wrestling!!! It was great to work with these two great kids again.

They came in to see me with their Mom and Dad. I had taken their Mom's business portrait in the past. It was great to have some fun and not have to be so serious.

Logan is 2

Logan's Mom and Dad brought him in for his Birthday. Cute little guy. To get him to sit for pics we had to lay his dad down so he could sit on his chest. After all the jumping around I think Dad only had one or two cracked ribs. I had it easy as I just had to push the button.

All the Galleries are back up on the website. I am in love with my Web guy!!!!

Fantastic and busy weekend lined up. I will have lots of new stuff Monday evening for the Blog. Booked a really cool Family sitting today based on Siblings. Only thing is I can't put it up till after Christmas since it is a surprise for someone. It is going to be beautiful... can already see it.

Shooting and printing like crazy!!! Lots of beautiful babies and fun kids!!! If you are still interested or would like to talk about a portrait drop me an email.

Santa Hat Fun

Every year come December, I pull out the Santa hats I have and have a bit of fun. I generally don't use props in my Portraits, as I believe that it can take away from the portrait. That being said... a little kid in a Santa Hat is pretty cute. Clients generally don't order wall portraits of these but to have them as files for emailing, cards or presents for Grandparents, they are priceless.

The Studio is open for appointments untill the 23rd of December, then Open again the 27th. If you would like to come in, just call or email.

The Appleton Family

5 years ago I had the pleasure of shooting the Appleton's Wedding. Well... in 5 years life has gotten allot more busy for them!!! I had a great time with their 3 little ones, they were a pleasure to work with. It is not hard to get some great pics of giggling happy kids. Jean Vanier Drama

Mrs. Julie Morin's drama class is presenting "The King of Pride Rock". I have been shooting the head shots for her class for I believe 15 years. I always look forward to working with the kids in her class. They always put on a great show! Holiday Portrait deadline...

Just wanted to put some info up in regards to Portrait deadlines for the Holidays. There really isn't one. I shoot and print everything here on site in my Studio. I personally retouch and print all finished portraits. I use the best printer available from Epson that uses 8 archival pigment based inks as well as Epson portrait papers. Since I don't have to rely on an outside lab, I am able to offer custom printing right up till the 23rd of December. The only day the studio will be closed is Christmas Day and Boxing Day. So if you have your Family here over the Holidays and would like to come in to see me just give me a call or email me through my website.

3 Sisters

Adrian brought her 2 Sisters in for a sitting. Champagne and wardrobe changes plus a stylist (Adrian's daughter) made for a really fun sitting. I have had quite a few kids through the studio lately... it was a bit different that I didn't have to bribe my subjects with candy for a smile. I guess that is what the champagne was for.
