A Very Special Blanket {Collingwood Portrait Photographer}

Evening,
Here are some of my favourites from one of the Sittings I had this past weekend. It was a very special one. You see, Baby Griffen decided he wanted to come into the world a little early. So, he wasn't able to come home right away and needed some extra TLC. He has a big Sister that loves him very much. We decided though, for this sitting, we would just give all our attention to him. I think we got some great shots! The blanket... it is made by volunteers and given to Babies that need to stay in the Hospital. The blanket gets to go home with the Baby. I think he will be keeping his blanket for a very long time. This was a very special sitting for me. I am really looking forward to when he brings his Mom, Dad and Big Sister into the Studio. The weather was perfect, so we had a tonne of locations to choose from. Engagement Sessions are such a great way to start working together. I had a great time with the two of them. I am really looking forward to their Wedding in October.

Lisa and Michael {Collingwood Wedding Photographers}

Afternoon,
Here is one more post before the long weekend. Lisa and Michael are getting Married this July. We had a great time hanging out together last weekend. It is funny to think that Couples think that the Engagement Session is for them. It is actually more for me. It is such a perfect way to get to know a couple before their big day. It ends up being more of a visit than a shoot. Here are my favourites. I think we got some great shots together.
It is going to be a fantastic long weekend! I have a few shoots planned and a big Family/Friends BBQ on Sunday (I am the cook). I hope everyone has a happy and safe long weekend to start off their Summer.

A Mom's Birthday at Blue Part 1 {Collingwood Portrait Photographer}

This was one of my Family Portrait sessions from last weekend. Laurie and her Family surprised their Mom for her Birthday, with a Family get away. I do love my job when I get to work with a Family like this. I never had to ask them to hug twice. Laurie tells me that they had a fantastic party for their Mom at the Intrawest Village at Blue.

The Grey Cup at CCI {Collingwood Portrait Photographer}

Afternoon,
I am just about to head up to Blue for a great assignment for the CFL. When we were talking about the assignment I asked about bringing the Grey Cup to my old High School. So the Football Alumni could raise some money for the Team. I didn't think they would be able to. As soon as I asked they said yes! Just wanted to say Thanks to Shannon Ballard and the CFL organization for letting this happen. Here are some of the pics we took On Monday Morning. Great way to start the week. Gurlz Weekend at Blue {Collingwood Photographer}

Evening again,
This past weekend was a busy one! Here is an assignment I had to get up right away. Some old High School friends asked me if I would like to shoot their GURLZ weekend. It took me under a second to say yes. I had an absolute fantastic time with these six life long friends. The 80's music was playing and the Martinis pouring. I think we got some great shots! I think the Martinis were a good help. When they asked how much this was going to cost, we all decided that we would make a donation to The Canadian Breast Cancer Association. Tessa & Anna {Collingwood Portrait Photographer}

Evening,
Tessa & Anna came in to see me last week for some new portraits in the studio. I have taken their photos a number of times before. Tessa has always been a little shy when the camera comes out. Not this time though... she was fantastic (so was little Sister). At the end of the sitting she said she didn't want to go. That just made my day.

Baby Lucas {Collingwood Portrait Photographer}

Afternoon,
It is the little things, in Families, that help me when I am shooting their portraits. It can be a mushy Dad with his newborn Daughter or it can be the way a Mom hugs her teenage Son. When Lisa and Derek brought in their new little guy , I knew right away that this was going to be a good sitting. Derek had brought all of them Heavy Metal concert t-shirts to wear. As a Heavy Metal fan myself (in my younger days) I thought it was perfect. Hope Lucas doesn't grow up to be a fan of Opera.
