What I am looking for.... {Collingwood Portrait Photographer}

Evening,
Barb and Len came to see me awhile back for their 50th Wedding Anniversary portrait (you can find them in an earlier post). They were at this weekends TSC Black Tie evening. It is safe to say that they are still hot for each other. I have realized lately that a good portrait is a collaboration between the photographer (me) and the subject (you). I have learned this over time with amazing Clients like Len and Barb. My Wife tells me that every time I shoot I am looking for something I want or love. I think she just might be right. After being married for 50 years I would love to be like these two.

Remembering Summer {Collingwood Photographers}

Morning,
I went out for a walk early this morning. I was thinking of what session to post next and I remembered the Blair Family. They were staying in Wasaga Beach celebrating a 50th Wedding Anniversary. We shot all the family group shots and then let the grandkids play. Here are my favourite 2 that make me miss sunnier times.

The Kitchen Sisters {Collingwood Portrait photographer}

Afternoon,
Ok... I have to admit that I hardly had anything to do with this session. Emma brought her 3 Sisters in to surprise their Mom and Dad for Christmas. I just turned on my studio strobes and pushed the button on my camera. The four of them are all naturals. I was really looking forward to posting some of my favourites as soon as we shot them.

The Campbell Family {Collingwood Portrait Photographers}

Evening,
The Campbell Family came up to Blue Mountain for a little get away and some R&R. They were a great Family to work with. We started by shooting a series of portraits inside the Hotel then headed outside to have some fun. In the Campbell Family all the Grandkids are older and in University or finishing up High School. But... Grandkids will be Grandkids and you never have to ask them twice to hug their Grandma. Here are some of my favourites of the 580 proofs they have to pick from.

Baby Oliver {Collingwood Portrait Photographer}

Afternoon,
Oliver's Mom and Dad are another Wedding I shot a little while ago (there must be something in the water). While we are shooting this session I can clearly see a pick from the wedding. After the vows Oliver's Dad danced up the isle with his Mom. It is pretty easy to see he is still a happy guy.

Baby Isabel {Collingwood Photographers}

Good Morning,
I was really looking forward to meeting Baby Isabel. Before this session her Mom and Dad came in for a Maternity Portrait. Before that session I had the pleasure of shooting Martha and Scott on their Wedding day. It is wonderful to work and be with people during the absolute best chapters of their lives. Kisses, baby toes and a Dad with his hand on his Daughters heart. It doesn't get any better than this.
