And for the second part...
This past January, Lydia and I raised $1600.00 to help Haiti. I thought it would be great to do something in the same vein locally.
So... a portion of all print sales from Oct 1st up to Dec 31st will go towards adopting a local Family (hopefully Families) for Christmas.

Morning,
After much thought... instead of dropping price, and service, I am going to increase my print quality. Starting tomorrow I will now print 11x14's and larger on museum quality cotton rag papers. I will not be raising my prices for this service. They are really something to see. I am in the process of printing all new prints for my Gallery.

Evening,
I miss my darkroom. I would stay up all night printing B&W portraits that were to last for generations. Mixing the right developer, choosing the best printing paper. Allas my darkroom is no more. To bring that feeling back I have been working on recreating something really special for my Clients.
Something for your Children's Grandchildren.
It all starts October 1st.

Christmas/Holiday Promotion {Collingwood Portrait Photographers}

Morning,
Six years ago I tried something... I dropped my $100.00 session fee. Clients loved it! I never added it back. Just order what you want. Fully retouched 5x7's are $20.00 and 8x10's $25.00 (larger sizes are available). You come into the Studio and we just have fun. It is up to me to take pictures that you will LOVE.

Afternoon,
Going over package ideas... what dates to offer it... what would Clients want? Lots of things to consider. The one thing I was sure of, is that I didn't want to put a time limit on any of my ideas. This is not a "this weekend only" deal at all. It will start October 1st and will be available until December 31st. If everyone loves it... maybe longer.

Over the past week or so I have been racking my brain to come up with a Holiday/Christmas promotion. All of my ideas have been variations of what other photographers are and will offer in the coming months. We all drop our prices or offer a package to get you in the Studio. I want to offer something different. I am going to go in a different direction.

Trina & Jordon {Collingwood Wedding Photographers}

Evening,
Here are some of my favourites from Trina and Jordon's Wedding Day. What a great day it was. I have been looking forward to this Wedding all Summer. Even though it rained and the Ceremony had to move inside, that didn't stop the party from happening. As soon as the Ceremony was over the rain stopped and we were able to get some fantastic shots (having a great Wedding Party helped). There are so many good memories from this one... thanks for having a look.

The Vallins Family {Collingwood Portrait Photographers}

I first met Michael and Claudia when I shot their Wedding. Claudia got back in touch because she wanted to have a Family Session. We had a great time hanging out. It was really nice to meet their little girl Joely. To say she is cute is an understatement. She pretended that she was the Mommy and Claudia was her little girl. Joely took her Mom by the hand and lead her everywhere calling her Honey.

The Rowbotham Family {Collingwood Portrait Photography}

Afternoon,
Carol and Rodger celebrate 30 years of Marriage this year. Their 3 kids thought it would be a great idea to get together for a Portrait. We had a great time together. We started with some portraits in the Studio but it was such a beautiful night we decided to go outside to a few spots as well. I had taken their Grandson Hunter's first portrait a few months ago and it was great to work with the little guy again. When he put his sunglasses on, we all thought he looked like Baby Carlos, from the movie "The Hangover". I just hope that when he is 18, huge and playing football, he thinks it is just as funny.

Kristina & Peter {Collingwood Wedding Photographer}

Afternoon,
Kristina and Peter are one of those Couples that are an absolute pleasure to work with. Relaxed and fun, was the order for their Wedding Day. They were to be married at the top of Blue Mountain... alas the weather was not the best. So we had to be inside. It didn't bother them one little bit. They had a beautiful ceremony, at The Blue Mountain Conference Centre. After which, we got some beautiful shots just wandering all around the Resort. Here are some of my favourites (it was hard to pick just a few) from their special day.
